Detour to Daly river

It was late morning when we arrive at The Eagles nest. My cousin and Hubby had done a river come mountain change and brought property in Daly River.



The place here was a hive of activity as other people were arriving to stay for the night after they attended a special dinner that evening.



We baby sat Eddy the dog for the night, then the next day they were away with these folks fishing for Barra.



On the Sunday we went to the Daly River market , followed by a afternoon on the Daly river to try our luck for a Barra.



No luck with the fish, just like every one else from what we heard, but it was a very pleasant day out on the boat and we did see lots of crocs both salt and fresh water ones.


We have been out of contact here, as only Telstra phones working in the area, (ours Vodafone/Virgin) so its been a few days of rest with no driving or internet.



After our detour here, catching up with the Rellies for a few days we said farewell and headed back to Katherine to keep heading on the Savannah Way.
