Sri Lanka #13

Negombo was our last place where we stayed in Sri Lanka

The city is located North of Colombo and only a few K's

from the airport. From Kandy we headed here for two night before

flying out to Bangkok. Negombo is located on the beach.

Our ex Army tuk tuk driver talked us into travelling with

him in his tuk tuk from Kandy a distance of 118 klm

that took 3 hours. 

We had planned to go by bus for a total cost of about $5

which would have included  a tuk tuk drop off to the bus station 

in Kandy, then tuk tuk to our accommodation in Negombo.

We ended up  spending about $42 for the trip in the tuk tuk.

but, we did enjoy the experience.

We ate twice at a restruant  called Tuskers here

it was the best place we ate at in Sri Lanka

Very good size meals and very friendly owners.
