First stop on our open bus ticket was Hue ( said " Way") We stayed at the Sports Hotel using our first pre paid accommodation voucher, in a large comfy room on the first floor. We had been to Hue several times over the years so we decided to visit Mr Cu who is the owner of the Mandarin cafe and a local photographer.
Looked at several albums of his work again, he remembered us from previous visits and gave us heaps of post cards and a few large prints of his photos for free. We return the next day to give him a hat with kangaroos on it, but, he was still at home, his staff said they would ensure he got it. Cont below.....
We walked around taking in the Perfume river an its bridges. You can take several tours from Hue, but, as we had done it all before we decided to just hire our own boat (USD 5 per hour) to be on the river for sunset. The family who owned the boat ( live on board) had two young boys and they took to us as if we were their Grand parents . it was very relaxing just puttering along taking in all the river activities.
