Home in Perth

Have been home in Perth now for a few days.
Not sure if we can get used to this weather as on the trip we only had one night of rain in Mt Isa.
Back here in Perth we have had some real heavy rain and a constant chill in the air.
As we progressed towards Perth we did stop and see some relations and friends in or around Gerldton.
The ute is having a well earned rest, and a good clean up.
It was magnificent and performed well all the way, the only complaint was the tyre situation and it looks like they are going to need replacing before any more trips.
The diesel fuel averaged $1.60 per ltr overall and the ute did 16,500 klm over the trip. The most we paid for diesel was $2.45 (at Warburton WA) The least was $1.20 in Perth with a voucher.
We were using Vodaphone broadband to connect to the net and found it was hopeless, and even in large towns like Katherine , Broome etc, it would only pick up in the center of the town. with a very weak signal. Very hard to get photos on a Blogg.
We enjoyed the long drive, saw some fantastic sights and met a lot of interesting people.
Caught up with relations at Daly river and ticked off places three places that we wanted to visit or travel across
(1) the Great Central Road  (2) The Tip of Cape York  (3) Travel up to One Arm Point.Beagle Bay.

Thanks for your interest.
