Our 17 day Cruise route Hong Kong to Sydney

At Dawn on the 10th Oct 14 we landed at Hong Kong Airport for a three day stay before boarding cruise Ship Sun Princess, for a 17 day relocation cruise to Sydney.
We had flown from Perth, using Scoot Airlines (first time we had used them) and were very pleased with their service.
We spent some time at the Hong Kong airport as our hotel check in would be several hours away at 2pm. Teresa had organized our cases with every thing we would ever need for our 17 days of cursing, so with a big and small bag each  to lug around we decided to go to our hotel and ask them if they could keep our bags at reception until we came back to check in.
No worries they wanted to give us our room with in the hour, but, would hold our bags until our return. We have stayed in Hong Kong several times over the years and have always taken one of  those double decker buses from the airport to down town Kowloon.( HK tourist area on main land)
Best to get the top front seats, as you see some unbelievable sights en route and they give a description of points of interest along the way. The train travels underground about half the way in, it’s cheaper and far and better, taking the bus as you see Hong Kong in the raw. With all the unrest happening in Hong Kong we noticed a sign advising of a route change it said, Due to a unexpected event the bus A21 was now diverted the showed the new route. ( in Mongkok the bus travelled down a side street)
Hong Kong is always changing, giving us plenty of new things to see and do, three days just flashed by.
At our Hotel we noticed the price of entry ticket into Hong Kong Disneyland for a seniors ticket was HKD 100 per person (normal entry HKD 450) we decided we would fill a day at Disney Land.
Once you are through the gate all the events and attractions are included, only drinks and food are extra. Our first ride was in a boat which was fantastic; things were blowing up all round us. The only trouble was we were at the rear of the boat with no where to run when one of these big water surges hit drenching us and my good Nikon camera, The camera and lens ceased working straight away. In the Hong Kong heat it dried out within the hour, but, to my surprise water was still coming out of my camera lens at the end of the day.
After several days of  blowing hot air from a hair dryer through the lens it still would not work.   Teresa had her back up Sony camera, but, this was no match and you will see that in the photos posted below. It was awful not having our good camera and we are now wondering why on hell did we buy this cheap Sony camera as the photos were shocking.

We recommend a visit to Hong Kong Disneyland, but, with long lines and long waits to see the attractions you really need a two day pass as it’s just fantastic
